These crackers can be made with or without discard and are so easy, cost effective and honestly some of the yummiest crackers I’ve ever had!
Sourdough- something I’ve wanted to master for a few and just finally got serious about this year! While I can’t say I’ve mastered it quite well enough yet to share my sourdough bread recipe, I have been experimenting with discard with surprisingly good results!!
Crackers are one of those kitchen staples that when store bought are either a) full of unnecessary junk or b) stupidly expensive for a small box of ‘clean’ ones. Turns out, they’re so cheap and easy to make at home that I may never buy them again!!
This basic recipe can be used to make so many different flavor profiles- exchange the Parmesan & rosemary for garlic & thyme, poppyseed, onion. Don’t stress about the volume of added ingredients or that missing the cheese will change the base recipe- you could make them totally plain if you like or add double the cheese and they will still work!
